Reactable is an music making system designed for use on large-scale interactive digital surfaces and is now available for mobile use on the iphone and ipad. The mobile version takes the principles of the original reactable and miniaturizes it for use on these devices. The reactable project stems from pompeu fabra university in Barcelona. The mobile version using the same audio and graphics engine as reactable. Users play with the multi-touch screen, moving elements around to change what sounds are produced. Because these devices have built-in accelerometers, moving the device can also alter the sounds. It comes with filters, effects and sequencers, allowing people to even use it for live performances. the songs can be recorded and shared.
